There are two conflicting views on the availability of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) in standard CAD packages -depending, I suppose, on your background, Designers are generally delighted that they have easy access to what were, previously, enormously complex and arcane analytical tools; and analytical engineers are aghast that designers now have access to tools that provide some pretty pictures which they don't really understand. The reality falls somewhere in the middle, as always, Integrated CFD or Computational Fluid Dynamics, (and FEA) is a valuable addition to the latest 3D modelling packages, providing easy -to-use tools that allow designers to run low level analysis on their models, checking the viability of designs at early stages in the design process.
