Moore Tool Co. (Bridgeport, CT) is offering what it describes as a next-generation five-axis machining center plus integration services to provide plug-and-play ease in stepping up to automated five-axis production machining. The machine, designated the Moore FSP 300X Plus, has a HSK40E spindle from Weiss Spindeltechnologie GmbH (Schweinfurt, Germany) in a proprietary vibration-free mounting. Other new features include improved positioning accuracy, real-time vibration and heat monitoring to protect the spindle at higher machining rates, bigger, faster toolchangers, and modular part loading compatible with mainstream pallet systems.
