Pemex capex hits $9bn in first half

Mexico’s state-owned Pemex says capital expenditure (capex) reached 118.5bn pesos ($9bn) in the first six months of 2012, up by 26pc on the Ps90.4bn spent in the same period last year. Pemex usually spends more in the second half of the year than in the first. Total capex for 2012 is projected to reach Ps301.2bn, up by 9pc on a year earlier.
