摘要

Inverse design of a two-dimensional heat source distribution from the knowledge of desired temperature and heat flux profiles on a design surface of an irregular enclosure with participating media is investigated. The conjugate gradient method is used to minimize an objective function, expressed by the sum of square residuals between estimated and desired heat fluxes over the design surface. The radiative transfer equation is solved by the discrete transfer method. The accuracy of the presented method for solving the inverse radiation problem is checked by comparing with a benchmark problem. Some example problems are investigated to demonstrate the high performance and ability of the method for irregular geometries.
