摘要

Systematic decrease of substance emission to the environment from coking installations and by-products installations is necessary for economic and ecological reasons. Problem solving scale requires application of effective organization, 'technical and spatial as well as environmental methods. The most effective system methods for solving environmental problems are as follow: environment management according to PN-EN ISO 14001 standard and preventive strategy ?Cleaner Production". The basis for system methods for solving problems of emission from installations is monitoring and reporting of substance emission to the air, water and soil. It concerns installation operation in regular conditions and other then regular. Important stage in solving environmental problems of coking installations is quantitative estimation of environmental risk in operational unit, equipment or complete installation e.g. coke oven battery. The method and procedure of quantitative environmental risk estimation have been elaborated, which allows evaluating efficiency of actions for decrease of substance emission to environment from coke oven batteries and by-products installations for given spatial & environmental conditions. On the basis of coking installations, modernized and newly constructed in ?Zdzieszowice" Coking Plant implementation effects of system organization & technical methods for decrease of substance emission to environment were presented.
