Centrifugal compressor design issues for CFC/HCFC = > HFC conversion

摘要

New HFC refrigerants need centrifugal compressor modifications to deliver efficiently the pressure ratio and flow rate required by these replacement refrigerants for the air conditioning or process cooling application that was previously achieved with a CFC/HCFC refrigerant. However, a completely new compressor design is not always necessary, but adjusting compressor impeller speed and/or diameter may be used.
