摘要

In support of the Advanced Acoustics Model (AAM), Wyle Aerospace Group developed a method for converting legacy noise data into simulation-capable data for military and civilian aircraft. The Department of Defense adopted the AAM for assessing noise environments at military airfields with the latest generation of jet fighter aircraft. The AAM is a time simulation model that computes time varying noise levels for a user-defined flight trajectory. Evolved from the Noisemap Simulation Model and Rotorcraft Noise Model, it was developed under the Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program to address nonlinear sound propagation and complex directivity patterns from modern high thrust combat aircraft.
