Solar assisted air-conditioning - an overview

This contribution provides an overview about solar assisted air-conditioning processes and some basic information related to achievable energy savings is given. A design example is used to analyze primary energy savings and economics and basic guidelines for the dimensioning of the solar system are deduced. The article is a revised version of a contribution to this year's world congress of the International Solar Energy Society [Henning, 2003].
