High temperature heat pumps for existing buildings using CO{sub}2 as working fluid

摘要

Within the so-called COHEPS project of the European Community the use of CO{sub}2 has been investigated in different applications. FKW together with several industrial partners has developed an energy efficient and environmental friendly CO{sub}2 high temperature heat pump for existing buildings. After having performed theoretical studies tow prototypes have been designed and tested. The prototypes and the results of the tests are presented and discussed. Beyond this potentials and recommendations for further improvements are shown.
