Eriez Magnetics Pty Ltd has been manufacturing and supplying equipment for the food industries in New Zealand and Australia for in excess of 40 years. Initially Eriez was manufactured under licence in a joint venture in Australia until 1979, then became a wholly owned subsidiary of Eriez Manufacturing USA, whom themselves commenced business in 1942. Eriez Manufacturing started business initially selling simple design permanent magnets to the grain industry to remove steel pieces in the grain that could cause sparks resulting in explosions and fires causing severe damage to milling machines. Today Eriez have a large product range that can deal with all facets of metal contamination.
