Expanded Coverage: The Latest Research on the Impacts of Noise on Health

The 11th International Congress on Noise as a Public Health Problem was held in Japan last month, with papers focused on these areas of research: noise-induced hearing loss, noise and communication, non-auditory effects of noise, the influence of noise on performance and behavior, the effects of noise on sleep, community response to noise, noise and animals, interactions with other agents and contextual factors, and noise policy and economics. NRR presents these select highlights.
