The role of Standards in building a strong education

Over the past six years the Government has steadily increased its investment in skills training. Ongoing funding for the Modern Apprenticeships scheme launched in 2001 is a good example of Government's commitment to ensuring a greater number of better qualified tradespeople enter the workforce.
