The principles of cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation of reusable medical devices will be explained in relation to the requirements of the Standards - AS/NZS 4187 Cleaning, disinfecting and sterilizing reuseable medical and surgical instruments and equipment, and maintenance of associated environments in health care facilities and AS/NZS 4815 Office-based health care facilities not involved in complex patient procedures or process - Cleaning, disinfecting and sterilizing reuseable medical and surgical instruments and equipment and maintenance of the associated environment. This interactive programme will enable participants to ask the presenter questions about the Standards, sterilising equipment and the work practices they may follow.
