We propose a mathematical model and the corresponding procedure of taking into account the dependences of the indications of diagnostic devices on the physicomechanical characteristics of the metal of engineering products and the physicochemical parameters of the medium. The presented results of analytic investigations confirm the possibility and expediency of taking into account physicochemical aspects in the diagnostics of metallic products.
