The device (1) has an ambient light magnitude determining mechanism (6) with a control unit and a light-sensitive determination unit that has two luminance sensors, where a spreading light is measured between the sensors. Ambient light magnitudes of the device are influenced depending on ambient luminance that is determined by the determination unit and the spreading light measurement. The sensors are designed as a photo camera, photo sensor and/or photocell. An interface is designed in the form of universal serial bus (USB), infrared and/or Bluetooth connection.
