Anticorrosive Temperature-Resistant Organosilicon Coatings with Compacted Mineral Fillers

We study the influence of ultrasonic machining of organosilicon compositions filled with coal ash, omiacarb, and a mixture of coal ash with omiacarb. We show that ultrasonic machining with a frequency of 22 kHz crushes the omiacarb particles up to 5 |im during 8 min and does not affect the size of coal-ash particles. The ultrasonic machining of an organosilicon composition with a mixture of the fillers mentioned above results in a close-packed structure, which increases the impact strength of coatings and their adhesive strength and reduces the cost of anti-corrosive insulating protective coatings. The principle of formation of a close-packed filler structure is recommended for the development of compositions with different kinds of mineral fillers
