摘要

Though parts of the fishing industry have made inroads toward safer days at sea --Alaska stands out as a good example -- fishing still ranks among the deadliest of occupations, and its perils remain constant: boats roll over, boats catch fire and boats sink. Fishermen still go down with the boats, fall overboard, drown during evacuation or die from exposure to the cold air and water.
