I recently attended the AIPP event formerly known as T-Day. Besides Peter Coulson, the AIPP Photographer of the Year 2010, an obvious choice, respected videographer Abraham Joffe was also a keynote speaker. At the forefront of his craft and one of the country's leading wedding film makers, he shared his experiences of now shooting almost all his weddings using the Canon 5D MkII instead of traditional video cameras. Naturally, he had a captive audience with a room full of photographers no doubt keen to capitalise on this relatively new technology and make it available in their suite of offerings. But I couldn't help but wonder how many room-fulls of videographers were being shown how to capture stills by a professional photographer speaking to them at an event.
