Gazprom Delays Shtokman Field Startup

Citing a slump in demand in Europe and rising shale gas production in the US that is cutting LNG demand, Gazprom has reported that it will delay the start of its Arc- tic Shtokman gas field by three years, from 2013 to 2016, with LNG output now set for 2017.
