Range Resources Advancing E&P Plans For Drilling Mississippian Play

Range Resources unveiled a pair of promising new well results in the horizontal Mississippian play in Oklahoma and Kansas last week, and said it is ramping up drilling activity in the play sooner than expected due to strong performance this year. The Fort Worth-based independent said a pair of wells on its Nemaha Ridge project posted 24-hour initial production (IP) rates of more than 1,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day. The Dakota #9-5S and Troche #1-4N flowed 1,060 boe/d (79% liquids) and 1,064 boe/d (85% liquids).
