Marine Contractor Helix Reaches Gulf Spill Containment Agreement

A marine contractor that assisted with containment operations during the BP oil spill has reached an agreement to provide deepwater containment services on an as-needed basis to industry group Clean Gulf Associates. Houston-based Helix said its Helix Fast Response System (HFRS) will be named as a spill resource for the US Gulf of Mexico in oil spill response plans submitted to state and federal authorities by oil and gas producers (NGW Dec.20,p3).
