Mancos Shale Gas Assessment Sent Soaring in Latest USGS Estimate

The US Geological Service (USGS) has dramatically increased its estimate of the amount of natural gas held in the Mancos Shale formation of western Colorado. However, given the vast amounts of gas found in shale plays in other areas of US, the news is unlikely to trigger a drilling boom in the region.
