The Philippine Embassy has confirmed that a body found 2.5 miles off the coast of Grand Isle, Louisiana, was that of a worker missing since Nov. 16 explosion and fire onboard a Black Elk Energy-owned platform in the shallow waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Three workers, all Filipinos employed by Galliano, Louisiana-based Grand Isle Shipyard, were killed in the accident, which has drawn the attention of Congress. Several House Democrats are calling on Black Elk Chief Executive John Hoffman to travel to Capitol Hill to testify.
