What has been described as "gold rush days" are in full swing in the Marcellus Shale play ?but without the pipelines to carry the natural gas to markets, the booming industry could begin to idle. Vincent R. Rice, chief executive of York, Pennsylvania-based pipeline company Aaron Enterprises, is a self-proclaimed digger whose seen his share of boom-and-bust cycles. For Rice, the present and the future offer some unique challenges and opportunities for an industry that has to stay a step ahead of its E&P cousins.
