The latest edition of World Land Drilling Rig Market Forecast is suggesting that the E&P industry has finally brushed off the effects of the worldwide recession. The study shows that after a 16% dip during the economic slump in 2008-09, by mid-2013 operational rig numbers had grown 6% and are forecast to rise by 23% through 2017.
