Energy Honchos Give Oklahoma Lawmakers Earful on Hiking Taxes

Senior executives of some of Oklahoma's largest energy companies told state lawmakers they should do all they can to encourage drilling for oil and natural gas in Oklahoma.Industry leaders also warned slate lawmakers that increases in taxes on the industry could result in a reduction in their companies'spending on drilling,and thus a reduction in tax receipts and higher consumer prices.
