Kitimat Backers Confident Ample Gas Available to Make 2010 FID

Kitimat LNG expects to have the necessary firm, long-term commitments from gas suppliers and buyers for its 700 million cubic feet per day LNG export plant and terminal in British Columbia sometime next year to make a final investment decision (FID) by the end of 2010, Kitimat President Rosemary Bolton told Natural Gas Week last week.Once the FID is in place, the project can proceed with completion of financing arrangements and engineering, procurement and construction contracts. The facility should be in operation by early to mid-2014.
