BP Envisions Growing Global Role For Natural Gas 20 Years Hence

In recent long-term energy forecast, BP predicts that natural gas consumption will grow faster than any other fossil fuel over the next 20 years, grabbing considerable market share but not overtaking coal as the dominant power source. The UK oil major also sees non-hydro re-newables, including biofuels, "rapidly" gaining market share from around 3% today to 8% by 2035, both in electricity and transport fuels.
