Spurned Exelon Sues NRG Energy For Rejecting 5.9 Billion Proposal

Exelon sued NRG Energy last week,seeking an order against the independent power producer's board of directors that would block them from hurting shareholders by standing in the way of the 5.9 billion offer.NRG nixed the all-stock offer,partly because it has lost value since Exelon proposed it Oct.19.The share price has dropped to 53.82,from 54.50.NRG's shares,however,have increased to 23.86,up nearly one-third since the offer of 26.42 per share was announced(NGW Oct.27,p8).
