Struggling natural gas producers looking for new outlets for their supply may be getting some help from the similarly stressed nuclear power industry. In the past two years, reactors in California, Florida, Wisconsin and Vermont representing a combined 4% of US nuclear capacity have been retired and/or decommissioned, creating a power-generation vacuum that is largely being filled by gas-fired facilities (NGW Nov.24'14).
