The Alaska State Senate approved legislation last week that would set a legal framework for the construction of a large-diameter gas pipeline from the North Slope to an LNG sxport plant in south-central Alaska. The bill also "provides the framework for Alaska to become an owner in the Alaska LNG Project and move the project into the pre-front end engineering and design stage," Gov. Sean Parnellsaid.
