Growth rates and expectations have calmed from the levels of two years ago, but injection moulding has survived the recessionary tide that has affected other industries and its cost advantages look set to stand out more clearly as major manufacturers seek ever cheaper solutions... The powder injection moulding (PIM) business is healthy and expanding. That was the conclusion drawn by Bob Cornwall, president of Innovative Material Solutions speaking at the opening session of PIM 2003, the international conference on powder injection moulding of metals, ceramics and carbides, held this year at Penn State University.
