Russia’s state-controlled Rosneft has seemingly found ways to supply extra crude oil to China under a contract with China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC). Rosneft should in 2016 send an additional 5 million metric tons (100,000 b/d) to CNPC via the Skovorodino-Mohe spur from the East Siberia-Pacific Ocean (Espo) pipeline. However, constraints on the Chinese side of the line have forced the Russian producer to look for alternative routes.
