Russian antitrust authorities have notched up another success in efforts to force oil majors to cut domestic products prices. Last week, the Constitutional Court of Russia declined to consider a complaint filed by Gazprom Neft against the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS), which had imposed a total fine of 26 billion rubles ($855 million) on four Russian oil majors - Rosneft, Gazprom Neft, Lukoil and TNK-BP - for setting artificially high oil product prices.
