Italy: growth of seamless pipes prices not supported by demand

Demand for import seamless pipes remains weak in Italy. Local steel traders prefer to refrain from re-stocking so far,as end-users are not expected to increase purchases ahead of coming Christmas holidays. However, most foreignsuppliers have either already raised prices or announced intentions to do that in the short term, referring to muchhigher prices for raw materials.
