摘要

Any comprehensive practical approach to the Dynamic Stability Studies or excitation systems synthesis has to deal with the inescapable size and complexity of the power system models. The order of the models can easily have dimensions in the thousands, and the determination of the eigenstructure involves difficulty and cost. This paper deals with the problem of developing reduced order linearized power system models. A new model, very convenient to be reduced, will be presented. The application of the developed models in Dynamic Stability Study of the power system of Serbia will be given. The valuable discussion on the practical implementation of the models and dependence on the exciter type will be given, too.
