Steelmakers booked the required volume of thematerial in the middle of the month and currently are staying away from purchases.Ahead of another increase in buying, regular pig iron suppliers to US plants have raised their offers by $5-15/t fromthe latest transaction levels.Thus, Brazilian exporters are ready to sign contracts at $555-560/t C&F New Orleans. The material is offered withshipment in the second half of March-April; besides, the supply is limited. The previous deals have been closed at$540-545/t C&F, March delivery.
