Thai suppliers of flats make up for losses

Thai flats producers have finally seen better demand from local traders,which started purchases amid moderate stocks. Besides, they are pointingto increased scrap prices in late August, so the producers have pushedthrough an increase in domestic HRC and plate prices by $16-32/t at theexchange rate $1 = THB 31.281 (THB 500-1,000/t) and $32/t (THB 1,000/t)respectively, compared with the second half of July.
