New Technology for Cotton Baler

摘要

In order to transport the cotton at cheaper rate, to reduce the fuel in transporting the cotton, to reduce the space required to store the cotton, to load and unload the cotton bales a hydraulically operated cotton baler has been developed for the first time in the country. Besides, number of practical advantages of the new devices, baling the cotton with new found baling machine introduces the standards in cotton packing, hitherto not reported elsewhere (Dharmarajulu, 1976). Cotton bales turned outby the new device would have a uniform shape and size of 50 x 50 x 35 cm, standard weight of 28 kg and a density of 0.43 g / cc as compared to conventional bales of irregular shape and size, varying weight (120-170 kg) and low density of 0.12-0.13 g/cc.
