Statistical Analysis of Natural Resources Utilizing Maize-Urdbean Interci System Based on Area x Time Equivalent Ratio (ATER)

Area x time equivalent ratio (ATER) values were subjected to pooled analvs of variance after confinnin assumption of ANOVA like normality and homogeneity of variances. Anderson-Darling normality test Shapiro-Wilk test and normal probability plot shownnormality in data sets, Bartlett test exhibit homogeneity of variances. Result of pooled analysis indicated significant differences between the row ratios. ATER value 1 35 recorded for 2:2 row ratio is more compared to 1.29 and 1.15 of 2:1 and 1:1 row ratio, respectiely. This indicated biological efficiency of paired row of maize with two rows of urdbean. Better utilization of natural resources by it is also reflected in the higher productivity (6845.96 kg/ha) compared to others. This row ratio has realised to be more economical and feasible by providing increase in productivity to an extent of 5.33.17.97 and 09 57 per cent over 2:1, 1:1 and sole maize crop, respectively.
