摘要

An investigation was undertaken to identify the suitable method and frequency of feeding silkworm (NB_4D_2) with minfed mulberry raised through différent levels of nitrogen on the cocoon and post-cocoon traits of Bombyx mon L Silkworms supplied withmulberry whole shoots raised by the application of 125 kg N/ha/yr through CAN with feeding regime of five feeds a day registered higher cocoon weight (22 37 g/10 cocoons), shell weight (4452 g/10 shells), shell ratio (19.90%), single cocoon filament length (1169 m) and fibroin (78 29%) with less denier (2 44) and sericin (20 60%) together with those supplied whole shoots raised with same level of nitrogen and given four feeds / day. However, these parameters were lower with combination of 75 kg N/ ha/yi x whole leaves x three feeds /day (17.11 g/ 10 2 158/10, 14 71%, 789m, 74.14%, respectively) except denier (2.55) and sericin content (24 77%).
