It is evident from the findings that during first and second period of the study districts found negative trend in area for paddy (Dakshin Kannada), ragi (Shimoga, Uttar Kannada, Bellary and Gulbarga), jowar (Shimoga), Tur (Shimoga, Belgaum and Bellary), groundnut (Raichur) and cotton (Bijapur).
