Myxomycetes of Sonora, Mexico. 5: Ajos-Bavispe National Forest Reserve and Wildlife Refuge and Sierra de Alamos-Rio Cuchujaqui Biosphere Reserve

One hundred and fifty-three collections of myxomycetes from the protected areas Ajos - Bavispe and Sierra de Alamos - Rio Cuchujaqui, located in Sonora, Mexico, were studied. Fifty-one taxa were determined, and sixteen of these are new records for the Mexican state of Sonora (Comatricha anomala, C. meandrispora, Cribraria tenella, Diderma acanthosporum, D. rugosum, Didymium nigripes, Hemitrichia foliicola, Leocarpus fragilis, Licea testudinacea, Macbrideola lamprodermoides, Physarum echinosporum, Stemonaria irregularis, Stemonitis axifera, Stemonitopsis typhina, Trichia lutescens and T. varia) are new records for the Mexican state of Sonora: Four of these (Comatricha meandrispora, Licea testudinacea, Physarum echinosporum and Stemonaria irregularis) are new records for the Mexican myxobiota, and Comatricha meandrispora is recorded for the first time from the American continent.
