Does growth hormone therapy before 4 years of age enhance the linear growth of girls with Turner's syndrome?

This was a 2-year, multicenter, prospective, open-label, randomized, controlled trial of GH in girls with Turner's syndrome. Inclusion criteria included age 9 months to 4 years, karyotype-proven disease, normal TSH and hemoglobin concentrations, normal urinalysis, and >6 months of levothyroxine therapy (if hypothyroid). Patients with autosomal abnormalities and Y chromosomal components were excluded, as were those undergoing therapy known to affect growth.
