Nanoparticles have attracted considerable interests in healthcare area. Polymer nanofibres play an important role in drug delivery systems due to their distinctive high specific surface area, small pore size and high porosity. We show here fabrication of natural ingredient/extract loaded polycaprolactone (PCL) nanofibre for anticancer activity. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FT-IR) were employed to investigate the morphology and chemical nature of fabricated nanofibre. Surface hydrophilicity and hydrophobicity of the nanofibres were evaluated by measuring static contact angles of water. The plasma treatment enhanced the hydrophilicity of the polymer. The cytotoxic efficiency was conducted on HaCaT skin cells. The population of HaCaT cells for control and other natural extract loaded nanofibres were found to be almost equal.
