FERC Natural Gas Enforcement Hopefully Improved Under New Administration

The natural gas industry has been under the spotlight of FERC enforcement since the passage of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (EPAct 2005) in August 2005. There is no reason to think that spotlight will be diverted elsewhere or its intensity diminished during the Obama administration. The real question is how the focus of FERC compliance and enforcement efforts will change, or how it should change, during the new administration.
