摘要

The microwave paraboloidal reflector, which falls under the category of reflector antenna is still used for pencil beam applications. Except for concurrent reception and transmission of e.m. waves, the reflector antenna system is superior to the phased array design because in the latter case, a large number of specially constructed array element are required. It is, therefore, necessary to have a detailed analysis and prediction of the antenna performance both on the aperture plane of the reflector and in the distant Fraunhofer region.
