Development and practical use of Komatsu standard FMS control system (KOMUC)

As the FMS lines which are too old for use are replaced or recomposed for rationalization in our company, the need for construction of new FMS lines is increasing. In addition, since each of the current FMS lines uses software specially made foritself various problems including the maintainability and extendibility have come to the surface.To prevent the repeat of these problems in the systems to be introduced in the future, we developed a standard FMS control system which was applicable to the all FMS's in the company by combining the parts common to all systems with the customized partsof each line. In this paper, we will explain the features and functions of this standard system.
