Pre-welding edge preparation using automatic robot systems

Flexibility, precision and clear-cut programming procedures have been the main demands placed on the robot systems used for pre-welding edge preparation. The core item of such systems is a triaxial cutting robot with freely programmable flame cutter adjustment. The unit is also fitted with a CAD offline programming system and a laser scanner for tracking the seam.
