I will always listen to debate over which of Nissan's celebrated Z-cars is the daddy of them all. Despite some woeful efforts during the late '70s and 1980s, the Zed brand has maintained its lustre, mainly because the first one and the last one were such crackers. It's generally agreed that the 350Z we first saw in 2003 is the absolute pick of the latter-day models. But there's absolutely no argument over the notion that the original, the 240Z of 1969, was the plum when it comes to early models. Which means the real question is: which is better, 3502 or 240? Actually, that's not the puzzle any longer. The real question now is whether the brand-spanking 370Z is a better tool than the vaunted 350 it replaces. And, logically, if it is, can it possibly be a better package than its 240Z great grand daddy?
